Android 4.1 may have been born and bred in Mountain View, but it looks like Jelly Bean's having some problems with the California weather. According to a Google+ post by Android engineer Dan Morrill, the Jelly Bean statue that mysteriously appeared on Google's lawn in the run up to I/O has melted in the sun. "Jelly Bean is so ridiculously hot that the JB statue overheated, and his head partially melted and popped off," writes Morrill. To add insult to injury, one of the giant jelly beans inside was reportedly stolen by a passerby, and the statue has now been cordoned off with protective tape. In true Google style, Morrill notes that "the designer is already working on a bug fix."
